The use of color in this garment began as a challenge in working intuitively rather than following a carefully, and intentionally planned mapping of shapes and space. While working with mohair yarn, colors were integrated into the piece whenever felt necessary, balance finding itself through time and work rather than through a sought-after plan. This process resulted in organic, round, and rather whimsical shapes that meet at the seams of the garment, encompassing the wearer in a play in color.
